Ensure top performance. In order to get the best results, you must regularly clean your bill counter. Simply follow the instructions below to learn how you can properly clean the inside of your device.
1. Before you get started, please make sure that your device is switched off and the power cable has been removed.
2. Then use your hands to carefully open the front panel of the device. Once the panel is open, lift the carrying handle and remove the hopper guide. Please note that this might require some strength.
3. Use the included cleaning brush to remove larger pieces of dirt and dust. If you do not have the original cleaning brush anymore, you can also use a different one. Just make sure that it has soft and fine hairs, so you do not damage or disrupt any internal parts.
4. Next, use an air-duster spray to remove the finer pieces from the inside of the device. If you do not own an air-duster spray, you can purchase one at most hardware stores or online marketplaces.
5. Once you have removed all the dirt and dust from your device, simply reassemble it and switch it back on.
6. In order to get the best cleaning results, we advise you to also use the optional Safescan Cleaning Cards.
7. All you have to do is insert the cleaning card through the device three times in the same way you would do if it was a bill.
Please note that regularly cleaning your device is essential for it to operate properly. We therefore advise you to repeat the cleaning process every one to two weeks.
